Mary Alice Soriero

Cultural Competency Coordinator

Mary Alice’s love of foreign cultures and her knowledge of the English, Spanish, Japanese, and Thai languages have taken her all over the world, exposing her to the cultures of Peru, Japan, Thailand, Spain, and the U.S. Her work as a Peace Corp volunteer, a language teacher, and a public speaker on cultural values, combined with her travel and language experiences have provided Mary with a deep knowledge of cultural differences and supplied her with a series of personal anecdotes that help her empower students to analyze and investigate cultural values and differences.

 
David Troya

Program Development Manager

David was born and raised in Seville, Spain. He did part of his undergraduate work in Honolulu at Hawaii Pacific University, and in Germany at the University of Kempten as an Erasmus Scholar. Since graduation, he has worked as the General Director of an international travel company for students. There, he managed an international team and lead trips through Morocco, Portugal, and Spain. David is fluent in Spanish and English and has traveled to over 15 countries.

 
Dubraska Molins

Student Counselor  

Dubraska Molins is GlobalEd's Overseas Therapist dedicated and available to help students deal with the challenges of living abroad.  Dubraska is available to help students cope with pre-existing conditions such as: eating disorders, stress management, depression, as well as situations that may arise while overseas.  Methods of contact include, telephone, email and chat via internet.

 
Laura Cano

Madrid Program Coordinator

Geography and History - University of Seville (Seville, Spain)

Laura was born in the Basque Country but raised in Seville. She graduated from the University of Seville with a degree in Geography and History.  During her studies, Laura participated on an Erasmus Scholarship Program where she had the opportunity to study abroad in the University School of London (UCL). There she finished her degree studies, and stayed for four more years in Great Britain. After her studies, Laura got involved in study abroad where she worked as a Housing Coordinator and Student Counselor before joining GlobalEd.
